Ganpati Visarjan : The Unity and Emotions of a Village

Ganpati Visarjan : The Unity and Emotions of a Village

Ganpati Festival is celebrated for 10 days, but in village it's for 6 days, during which devotees welcome the Murti (Statue) of Lord Ganesha (Elephant head god) in their homes. The festival ends with Ganesh Visarjan (immersing the statue in water and bidding farewell). Devotees offer their prayers to Lord Ganesha, sing devotional songs, and recite various mantras in his praise.

For the past three years, I have been documenting the Ganpati Festival in a village, where every single home welcomes Lord Ganesha and Gauri Maa ( Mother). Witness the culture and unity that this festival brings to the village, as I present my series on Ganpati Visarjan.

In this project I will take you on the Journey of Emotions and Unity, as we say Goodbye to Lord Ganesha together.
